Purpose & background
The purpose of the proposed action is to appoint three new members and renew the existing appointments of members for the Rental Services Commission (RSC).

This action has no financial or budgetary impact.
Community impacts
The RSC mandate in City Code requires it to have membership that achieves a balanced citizen-based perspective encompassing knowledge of fair housing, rent-regulated and market-rate rental housing, landlord-tenant law, property management, renter-owner advocacy, rental housing access, and rental housing health & safety. Membership appointments to the Rental Services Commission (RSC) shall take into account the socio-economic, gender, racial, ethnic, cultural, and geographic diversity of the City of Portland.
