Appoint Derek Trost to the Noise Review Board for term to expire September 1, 2024

August 2, 2021 As Mayor and Commissioner of Finance & Administration, I request Council confirmation of the following reappointment and appointment to the Noise Review Board. Appointment - Derek Trost Expires September 1, 2024 Fills vacant position - Community Member-at-Large Derek Trost Bio: Derek Trost is an architectural and acoustical designer with a professional degree in architecture from the University of Oregon, specializing in recording studios and live performance venues. Derek is also an active professional musician, performing both live and in the studio, in addition to composing, producing and recording original music for all sorts of obscure projects. Derek Trost Statement: "I am looking forward to serving the broader Portland community, and especially contributing to concrete progress towards greater equity. I am also dedicated to making changes that better reflect the cultural and economic value of our local and regional music community.
