Accept the 2020 Annual Report of the Portland Police Bureau

REPORT TO COUNCIL Date: August 3, 2021 To: City Council From: Chief Charles Lovell III Re: Accept the 2020 Annual Report of the Portland Police Bureau The Portland Police Bureau's Annual Report for 2020 (2020 Report) is attached. Pursuant to Paragraph 150 of the Settlement Agreement in United States of America v. City of Portland, Case No. 3:12-cv-02265-SI, as amended, PPB shall issue a publicly available annual report which shall include a summary of its problem-solving and community policing activities. Prior to the 2020 Report being finalized and publicly released, it was provided to the PCCEP for its review and comment. The Bureau received both PCCEP’s along with community feedback at a PCCEP subcommittee meeting in June, 2020. The Bureau will hold meetings in each of its precincts on August 17th, 18th and 19th, and is now presenting the 2020 Report to Council, in accordance with Paragraph 150.
