Reappoint Julia DeGraw to the Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission for a term to expire June 30, 2026

Re-appointment of Julia DeGraw to the Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission. Julia DeGraw was appointed by Council last year to serve on the MHCRC to fulfill a vacant term that expires June 30. Julia is now up for re-appointment to a full 3-year term.

There are no financial or budgetary impacts.

The MHCRC is a quasi-governmental body, created by Intergovernmental Agreement, to develop and regulate cable services franchise agreements and manage public benefit resources and assets related to the agreements. The MHCRC reports to the City Councils of Portland, Gresham, Troutdale, Wood Village and Fairview, and the Multnomah County Commission. The MHCRC is made up of volunteer commissioners appointed for three (3) year terms or the balance of an existing term in the event of an interim vacancy. Portland has three seats on the commission; the other five (5) commissioners represent Fairview, Gresham, Troutdale, Wood Village and Multnomah County. In April 2021, Council appointed Julia DeGraw to the MHCRC to fulfill a term vacated by a previous appointee. Julia’s partial term expires on June 30, 2023 and she has expressed interest in being reappointed to a full three-year term. Julia DeGraw has provided exemplary service to the MHCRC and has spent many, many volunteer hours overseeing Commission business and representing the City of Portland in numerous and various forums. MHCRC members and staff are delighted that she remains willing to serve.
