This legislation will allow for Home Forward’s Board of Commissioners to continue to hold public meetings with a quorum so they may continue to make important decisions around affordable housing.

WHEREAS, the city council adopted Resolution No. 22081, December 11, 1941, establishing the Housing Authority of Portland according to Oregon Revised Statutes 456.095 through 456.720; and WHEREAS, Commission members must be appointed by Resolution directed by ORS 456,095(2) and ORS 456.100 (4); and WHEREAS, Damien Hall has served as a commissioner to the Home Forward board since 2015 and is the current board chair; and WHEREAS, Matthew Gebhardt has served as a commissioner to the Home Forward board since 2017 and is the current board vice chair; and WHEREAS, Jenny Kim has served as a commissioner to the Home Forward board since 2017 and is the current board treasurer; and WHEREAS, TomiRene Hettman has served as a commissioner to the Home Forward board since 2018 and serves as the Board’s resident commissioner; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Carmen Rubio has recommended Damien Hall, Matthew Gebhardt, Jenny Kim and TomiRene Hettman for reappointment to the Home Forward Board of Commissioners; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council for the City of Portland, Oregon reappoints Damien Hall and Matthew Gebhardt to the Home Forward Board of Commissioners for a term to expire June 5, 2027, Jenny Kim and TomiRene Hettman to the Home Forward Board of Commissioners for a term to expire January 31, 2026.
