Appoint David Chen and David Knowles to the Charter Commission

WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that “[f]rom time to time, but no less frequently than every 10 years, the Council shall convene a Charter review commission (“Charter Commission”) to review and recommend amendments to the Charter”; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commissioners appointed a Charter Commission on December 3, 2020 to serve two-year terms; and WHEREAS, two appointees to the Charter Commission, Karol Collymore and Steven Phan, resigned their seats; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commissions must fill the vacancy created by the resignations of Karol Collymore and Steven Phan; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Portland City Council hereby appoints David Chen and David Knowles to the Charter Commission to fill the vacancies caused by the resignations of Karol Collymore and Steven Phan; biographies are attached hereto as Exhibit A.
