Appoint Brenda Ketah to the Charter Commission for term to expire December 3, 2022

WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that “[f]rom time to time, but no less frequently than every 10 years, the Council shall convene a Charter review commission (“Charter Commission”) to review and recommend amendments to the Charter”; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commissioners appointed a Charter Commission on December 3, 2020 to serve two-year terms; and WHEREAS, an appointee to the Charter Commissioner Angie Morrill resigned her seat; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commissions must fill the vacancy created by Angie Morrill’s resignation; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Portland City Council hereby appoints Brenda Ketah to the Charter Commission to fill the vacancy caused by Angie Morrill’s resignation; a biography and statement of interest is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
