The City of Portland ordains: Section 1. The Council finds: The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Cutter Bluebell, is located at 6767 N Basin Ave, Portland OR, 97217. The USCG requests Portland Fire & Rescue to provide fire protection and emergency medical, hazardous material and confined space rescue services. Portland Fire & Rescue’s Station 24 has a specialty trained marine program equipped with suppression of shipboard fires. Station 6 has one Fireboat; the Williams. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs: The Portland Fire & Rescue Chief is hereby authorized to execute an intergovernmental grant agreement with the United States Coast Guard in a form substantially similar to the agreement attached as Exhibit A. The Portland Fire & Rescue Chief is hereby authorized to sign modifications to the IGA provided such modifications do not increase the City of Portland’s financial obligation or risk.
