The City of Portland ordains: Section 1. The Council finds: 1. In accordance with the policies established by the City Council and based on a classification and compensation review, the Bureau of Human Resources is creating five new non-represented classifications and establishing a compensation range, effective 5 /12/2021 . NOW, THEREFORE, the Council directs: a. The following classifications are being created: Job Class Pay Grade Effective Date Emergency Coordination Center Manager 61 May 12, 2021 Emergency Coordination Center Coordination Chief 58 May 12, 2021 Emergency Coordination Center Planning Chief 58 May 12, 2021 Emergency Coordination Center Logistics Chief 58 May 12, 2021 Emergency Coordination Center Communications Chief 57 May 12, 2021 Section 2. The Council declares that an emergency exists in order that this classification and compensation action may occur without delay; therefore, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council.
