Accept report from the City Arts Program

This is a report on the activities of the City Arts Program, part of the External Partnerships & Programs team in the Office of Management and Finance.

There is no financial impact associated with this report. The City Arts Program is funded through Special Appropriations ($4.2 million in Fiscal Year 2021-22, $4.4 million in Fiscal Year 2022-23), a large portion of which supports the City's contract with the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC). RACC will describe its programs and services in a separate report.

Artists and creative workers help define Portland's culture, fuel our economy, and enhance our quality of life. The City Arts Program celebrates and supports creativity in all its forms so that communities can connect, companies can flourish, and students can succeed in school and in life. We support arts and culture through partnerships with organizations like the Regional Arts & Culture Council, and through direct service. This year's report includes an update on the comprehensive community engagement strategies that are being planned for Portlanders to help us set a new vision for arts and culture in the region.
